Sensor Developments installs LinX™ System at Statoil platform in the North Sea

SANDEFJORD, NORWAY, July 27, 2012 - Sensor Developments, a Probe partner, has successfully installed the second LinX™ Online system at the Statoil operated Grane platform in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The sensor nodes were installed in a horizontal produced water injection well, measuring pressure and temperature in the annulus and outside the casing in contact with the formation. The sensor is installed in the injection zone, measuring true injection pressure. "Being our first commercial installation after the initial pilot, it is exiting to see that improvements, small and large, have increased the ease of installation and reduced risk of failure." says Kjetil Borgersen, Sensor Developments' President and CEO.
