Enhanced Corrosion and Integrity Platform

HOUSTON, TX, October 26th, 2012 – Probe has finalized the introduction of an enhanced Corrosion and Integrity measurement platform. Building on the tradition of offering a full-system approach, Probe’s new platform enables the client to fully understand and assess the casing internal diameter, casing external diameter and cement behind the pipe. While the standard corrosion measurement platform consists of multi-arm caliper and magnetic thickness measurement tools, a new range of capability is achieved through the combination of down hole tools and ancillaries with surface data processing and analysis software. Probe’s enhanced Corrosion and Integrity measurement platform consists of: Multi-Arm Caliper Tool available in three options of 20, 40 and 60 Arm for internal diameter measurement Electro-Magnetic Thickness Tool in two sizes of 2 3/4" and 3 1/2" for external diameter measurement Radii™ Tool in two sizes of 2 3/4" and 1 11/16" for radial evaluation of the cement behind the casing GR and CCL combination tool for correlation purposes Warrior™ Acquisition System for data acquisition and quick data visualization MIPS Software for in depth data processing and visualization The combination of the Radial Bond Tool into corrosion platform is especially important for assessing casing wear-and-tear prior to a formation fracture operation. With global expansion of Fracturing Operations as a mean to enhance Oil and Gas recovery options, the challenge of the industry is to ensure that casing integrity is preserved to minimize and mitigate any safety and environmental risk. Probe’s Corrosion and Integrity platform enables clients to offer Operating Companies a cost-effective and precise way of assessing both the casing and zonal isolation of cement behind the casing.
