David H. Barr Joins Probe's Board of Director

FORT WORTH, TX, November 17, 2010 – Probe announces today that David H. Barr, an oil and gas industry veteran, and former Group President of Baker Hughes, has been appointed to Probe’s Board of Directors. “David is an engineer who has become a successful business leader. We are excited to welcome him to Probe’s board”, said Maarten Propper, Probe’s CEO. “In addition to extensive experience in both the oilfield service sector and manufacturing sectors, David has successfully stewarded organizations through exciting growth phases. David’s experience will be valuable in developing and executing the growth strategy for Probe.” “I am excited to be part of the Probe organization”, said Mr. Barr. “It’s a privilege to serve on the board of such an exciting growth company”. Mr. Barr served as Group President for Baker Hughes with responsibilities for the Eastern Hemisphere, Completion & Production, and Drilling & Evaluation from 2005 through 2009. He served as President of Baker Atlas, a division of Baker Hughes Inc. from 2000 to 2005. Mr. Barr also served as a Vice President of Supply Chain Management with the Cameron division of Cooper Cameron Corporation from 1999 to 2000. He held a position with Baker Hughes Inc. as Vice President of Business Process Development from 1997 to 1998, and the following positions with Hughes Tool Company and Hughes Christensen: Vice President of Production and Technology from 1994 to 1997; Vice President of Diamond Products from 1993 to 1994; Vice President of Eastern Hemisphere Operations from 1990 to 1993 and Vice President of North American Operations from 1988 to 1990. His career with Baker Hughes spans 36 years in various manufacturing, marketing, engineering, and product management functions. David H. Barr was also the original architect and executive manager of Project Renaissance. He was employed by Baker Hughes Inc. in 1972 and began his career with Hughes Tool Co. the same year, after completing his B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University. Mr. Barr has served as a director of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association and was seated as chairman in 2008. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts, and the International Association of Drilling Contractors, Nomads.
